Major Ice Storm Could Hit Mississauga This Weekend

Sleet or freezing rain is likely Saturday into Sunday morning in a large portion of central lower MI, extending southward to include the Lansing area.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Sarnia-Lambton, London-Middlesex, Elgin County, and Oxford County advising of a slow-moving weather system that is expected to a significant risk of freezing rain Saturday afternoon.

The precipitation was expected to shift to rain on Sunday as temperatures warmed.
