Former NBA agent Dan Fegan killed in vehicle crash

Prominent NBA agent Dan Fegan died Sunday after his vehicle was hit by a bus near Aspen, Colo., State Patrol authorities confirmed.

Fegan, 56, had represented players including Dwight Howard, John Wall, Demarcus Cousins, Nene and Ricky Rubio.

On Sunday morning, Fegan's vehicle was reportedly trying to cross or merge onto Highway 82 when it was broadsided by the bus. Fegan's two passengers, an unidentified 29-year-old woman and Fegan's 5-year-old daughter, were airlifted with serious injuries and their current conditions are unknown. "We ask for privacy at this hard time".

Howard reacted to the news on Twitter, writing, "My heart and prayers go out to the family, especially Dan's young son who was apparently injured in this accident". The newspaper reported that a year ago he was sacked from his agency, Independent Sports & Entertainment, and the sides subsequently were involved in a lawsuit. "Representing a number of worldwide basketball stars, including Nene and Ricky Rubio, as well as home grown all-stars Dwight Howard and Chandler Parsons, Fegan continues to distance himself from his competitors as one of the industries best".
