Winter storm winds down with snow mixed with sleet

The National Weather Service says we've already seen around seven inches of snowfall in the month of February.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory beginning at midnight through 9 a.m Saturday.

Most of the surrounding counties could see up to an inch of snow with Chase County seeing possibly one to two inches.

An approaching disturbance from the west combined with an arctic cold frontal passage will bring a possibility for freezing drizzle and freezing rain late Saturday night and Sunday morning. The upper Midwest is preparing for a wintry blast as a winter storm is expected across the region, with forecasters saying up to a foot of snow is expected in some areas.
