Padmaavat collects Rs. 18 Crores in the Box office Day 1

Earlier, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer Bajirao Mastani which was released in the year 2015, has made an opening of 12.80 crore in India on Day 1, while Goliyon ki Raas Leela - Ram Leela (2013) has made 16 crore on the first day in India. The Deepika, Ranveer and Shahid-starrer raked in Rs 32 crore on its second day.

Although the movie did not attract much footfall on day 1, partly because of sena's fear and partly because the opening was on a weekday yet due to the long weekend it is expected that Padmaavat will take a whopping leap in the coming days.
