A sports journalist who was found after she went missing over the weekend told police officers that she had a severe reaction to medication that led her to become confused and disoriented, police said Monday.

The family of a 29-year-old sports reporter said she vanished after being followed by a suspicious man, according to multiple reports.

The news organization also said that Roland's mother received a text on Sunday from missing daughter's phone number saying, "Hello the owner of this phone Courtney".

Courtney Roland was found close to The Galleria shopping center in western Houston, as indicated by nearby police.

Police declined to say exactly where she was found, although officers said she appeared to be unharmed.

Messages left on phones listed for Roland and for her family members were not returned.

The roommate said she and Courtney were meant to meet up on Sunday but she never heard back from her again. Her phone and other items were inside the vehicle. The address where she was found was not provided by police.

Police said that they do not suspect any foul play, and have no reason to believe any crimes were committed. Roland apparently texted her friend to say a suspicious man was following her at a Walgreens.

They discovered her cellphone and different assets inside, cops stated, while her satchel was found at a close-by business.
