Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Thursday

Meteorologists say snow and sleet are forecasted for southern states like Florida and SC, and blizzard-like conditions are expected for northern states.

A majority of the East Coast, from northern Florida up to New England, is bracing for a massive winter storm that will bring hurricane winds and record cold temperatures to the region on Wednesday and Thursday.

But what does that mean? The atmospheric pressure isn't expected to drop quite that quickly, but the Washington Post's "Capital Weather Gang" believes the storm will undergo "explosive strengthening". A pressure drop of this magnitude shows how much air is being drawn into the storm's circulation, allowing it to gain strength at a quicker, more intensified rate. The real-world impact is a cold-core winter storm that resembles a tropical cyclone with regard to barometric pressure, wind speed, and precipitation, if not in temperature.

Liverpool's Coutinho agrees big-money Barcelona switch
The full five percent would not be allocated between Inter and Vasco, with Liverpool having Coutinho on their books since he was 20 years of age.

"Winter storm watches and warnings have been issued as far south as parts of north Florida, coastal Georgia, and the low country of SC, including the cities of Savannah, Ga".

Wednesday's winter storm warning in Tallahassee was the first in nearly four years, reported The Weather Channel. The National Weather Service said areas in northern Florida and southeastern Georgia could see up to an inch of snow and ice on the roadways early Wednesday.

The storm is also giving forecasters a chance to play with other data-generating instruments, including the new GOES-16 satellite that just settled into position over the Eastern U.S.

Helena Bonham Carter in Talks to Play Princess Margaret on "The Crown"
Claire Foy , Matt Smith , and Vanessa Kirby- and Matthew Goode-will be replaced in Season 3 by older actors. For Carter, playing a member of the royal family is not entirely new territory.

Thursday morning through late evening, wind gusts are likely to reach over 50 miles per hour along the coastline. When the pressure drops, the storms get stronger.

National Weather Service meteorologist Ryan Maue drew some attention when he posted a message to Twitter yesterday about the "a truly wonderful extratopical "bomb" cyclone" that's predicted to blow up off the New England coast today. So large is the storm's circulation it's expected to suck cold air from the Arctic that will bring on record cold temperatures in the northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
