Fire at Home of Roy Moore Accuser Being Investigated for Arson

Johnson was one of several women who came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Moore during Alabama's special Senate election.

"I am devastated, just devastated", Johnson told Al.com on Friday morning.

But the local sheriff said he doesn't believe the blaze that destroyed Tina Johnson's house was connected to the bitter campaign.

A spokesperson for the Etowah County Sheriff's Office said they've spoken to a person of interest but no charges have been filed.

On Tuesday morning, Johnson's home in Gadsen, Alabama went up in flames and the blaze is now being investigated for arson.

Witnesses to the blaze said they saw a young man with a history of public intoxication around the house before and during the fire. The neighbor didn't know what he was talking about, she said, because flames weren't visible at the time.
