"The Bureau will announce the 90-day decision period for these territories by future public notice after FirstNet provides the required statutory notice to each territory and informs the Bureau it has done so", according to the Federal Communication Commission's public notice posted on the Federal Register.

The December 28 deadline, Sununu said, was too tight for other states causing New Hampshire to be the lone state who opted out.

The release mentioned "first responder subscribers", but did not specifically say how the network will be paid for. As a result, AT&T will build and maintain the FirstNet LTE network and gain access to the 20 MHz of 700 MHz spectrum licensed to FirstNet in all of these states and territories, which includes the entire continental United States.

Xiaomi India set to cross $2-bn revenue mark, grow beyond smartphones
Xiaomi Mi Router 3C and Mi Wi-Fi Repeater 2 each get Rs 200 off, and the devices will be available at Rs 999, Rs 699 respectively. As for discounts on other accessories, the 20,000mAh Mi Power Bank 2i will be available at Rs 1,499, down from Rs 1,999.

FirstNet was ultimately created by Congress in 2012 as part of the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act, and its service is provided by AT&T under a 25-year contract.

"We proceeded to have extensive discussions with other governors across the country to help them understand the benefits of such a system", Sununu said.

New Hampshire's alternative vendor, Rivada Networks, was chosen because the arrangement would allow the state to "retain a level of control that it would not have enjoyed in an opt-in scenario", Sununu said at the time.
