Bill Maher: Al Franken shouldn't be 'lumped in' with Roy Moore
The incident took place in 2006 before Franken won the Minnesota Senate seat and during a U.S.O. tour through the Middle East. But he has ignored repeated questions from reporters since then and left it to Sanders to offer bare-bones comments.

It's not yet known how strongly the quake was felt in New Caledonian and surrounding islands or whether there has been any damage. "Tsunami waves have been observed", the USGS said.

"Government agencies responsible for threatened coastal areas should take action to inform and instruct any coastal populations at risk", the PTWC said in an alert.

IGP reiterates 'commitment' to local militants who want to 'rejoin their families'
Replying to a question, he said it is a point of discussion on what was the driving force or lure behind youths joining militants. IG CRPF at the occasion said there is a greater synergy between all the security forces to conduct anti-militancy operations.

"Based on current information, the initial assessment is that the quake is unlikely to have caused a tsunami that will pose a threat to New Zealand".

New Caledonia is part of the "Ring of Fire", a zone of tectonic activity around the Pacific that is subject to frequent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.
