West Ham co-owner David Gold insists David Moyes is "the best man available at this time" following his appointment as the club's new manager.

Moyes replaced Slaven Bilic, who was sacked on Monday, with West Ham's board wanting a manager with proven Premier League experience as the team battles to pull clear of the relegation zone.

Does much of the blame for West Ham's woes lie with the current board and co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold? Moyes had managed in the Premier League for 14 seasons and led Everton FC to the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and an FA Cup final. "So I'm hungry to make sure I get things right now".

"He is highly regarded and respected within the game, and will bring fresh ideas, organisation and enthusiasm".

Moyes was handed a six-month contract by West Ham on Tuesday following the sacking of Slaven Bilic after two Premier League wins from their first 11 games.

"I guess that's what's been our main reason for choosing David [experience], and I think it's flawless for him and ideal for us".

"I'm really looking forward to meeting the supporters, being in the stadium with them", he said. "We need the support, we need everyone with us". We need everybody with us.

West Ham has won only two of its 11 matches in the Premier League and is in third-to-last place heading into the two-week worldwide break.

Users are outraged by the failure WhatsApp
The outage in WhatsApp was caused by a software code bug and was not because of the issue from the data centre. Despite having more than a billion active users worldwide, WhatsApp rarely experiences such outages.

Moyes must also improve West Ham's form at the Olympic Stadium, the team's new home since leaving Upton Park at the end of the 2015-16 season.

He added: "We've done a contract which suits both parties, we are all comfortable with it. Let's get the job done and then talk at the end of the year".

West Ham is a big club. The team has been prone to collapsing after going behind — it has already lost by at least a three-goal margin on four occasions this season — and lacked any real identity under Bilic.
