One of them was Jeff Sessions, then an Alabama senator and early Trump endorser and now the attorney general.

Page's disclosure increases the pressure on Sessions ahead of a hearing scheduled for next week before the House Judiciary Committee.

The House Intelligence panel, in a closed-door session on Tuesday, is questioning Keith Schiller, Trump's former head of Oval Office operations, until he left in September.

In a statement Monday, Schiff said that Page had failed to produce the email to the committee before his interview, despite receiving a subpoena for documents. He is at least the second member of the foreign policy team contacted by Russians with offers of help or meetings.

Sony Rolls Out New PlayStation Rewards Program in the United States

Who is George Papadopoulos and why is he important to the ongoing investigation?

The case of Page, an energy consultant and graduate of the Naval Academy, has attracted scrutiny since he was named an adviser to the campaign in March 2016.

Page's July 2016 trip to Moscow drew attention during the campaign, particularly after WikiLeaks released emails that had been hacked from the Democratic National Committee a few weeks later and Russian Federation became a controversial campaign topic. Page then traveled back to Russian Federation after Election Day past year.

He also said he told Sam Clovis, a former co-chairman and policy adviser to Trump's campaign, about his trip. "The White House has said over and over again they have no desire to be able to push him out", Lankford said.

In numerous public interviews, Page has always denied he met with other Russian officials, notably with Igor Sechin, a Putin associate.

After first asserting that he didn't meet with senior Russian officials during the trip, he later acknowledged that he spoke with deputy prime minister Arkady Dvorkovich. He maintained that his interaction with Dvorkovich consisted of a brief greeting, and that he had learned his views on the campaign while listening to Dvorkovich's public address. Their conversation, he told investigators, was not about coordination with Russian Federation on the campaign, but largely limited to an exchange of pleasantries.

Almost 80 percent of Trump voters said they think the president should stay in office even if collusion is proven between his campaign and Russian Federation, according to a survey released Tuesday, even while support among all voters for his impeachment hits a new high. Forty-four percent say they are "very concerned" about those reports, up from just 27% saying so in July.

Lawmakers are expected to ask Schiller what he knows about Trump's 2013 trip to Moscow and a 35-page dossier that a former British intelligence officer wrote about Trump's behavior on the trip to visit the Miss Universe pageant.
