When asked what frustrates the president, Kelly laughed and said he thought that it was the media. Kelly noted that his current position is "the hardest job I've ever had".

McGowan, who has been one of Weinstein's fiercest critics, implied the ban was part of a conspiracy in announcing it, saying "TWITTER HAS SUSPENDED ME". This happened after Rose had tweeted several times this week about Weinstein and about Ben Affleck. On her Instagram account, McGowan said "there are powerful forces at work". "Be my voice." She then included the hashtags #RoseArmy and #WhyWomenDon'tReport. Trump spews hate daily and nada. According to a tweet, Twitter suspended the account because she posted a "private phone number".

In a string of fiery tweets, McGowan said she repeatedly warned Amazon about "HW" and "begged" the company not to work with the movie mogul but was told by an unnamed studio executive that "it hadn't been proven". "We will be clearer about these policies and decisions in the future", the tweeted statement read.

This proved too little too late for many women (and men) however who rallied to the #WomenBoycottTwitter banner to share their displeasure. "We stand with the fearless women and men who use Twitter to share their stories, and will work hard every day to improve our processes to protect those voices".
