Manafort drops Mueller's old law firm for one specializing in financial crimes

A spokesman for President Donald Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, says that Federal Bureau of Investigation agents served a search warrant at one of his homes.

President Trump said Thursday that he hasn't given any thought to firing Robert Mueller, who is leading the Russian Federation investigation that Trump has described as a "witch hunt".

The senators also asked the Trump campaign for a wide range of records pertaining to Russian meddling in the elections, such as any campaign contacts with or about a number of senior Russian officials, such as the former Russian Ambassador to the United States Sergey Kislyak.

Trump has long derided Mueller's probe, calling it a "witch hunt" and suggesting his team is "biased".

Law firm WilmerHale had been speaking on Manafort's behalf to investigators, but that relationship has ended, Maloni said.
