Assassin's Creed: Origins announced in new trailer showing off ancient Egypt

Its release dat is now set for October 27, 2017 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Bayek's Egypt is set sometime after 300BC, which is way before the other games in the franchise.

We've reported on numerous Assassin's Creed Origins leaks so far - including on its main character and gameplay - all popped up here as expected.

During the Microsoft conference at E3 2017, which held the debut of the Xbox One X, Ubisoft presented gameplay footage of Assassin's Creed: Origins.

It seems pretty legit as the image above matches the leaked pre-order card for the game's Gold Edition that confirmed the Egypt setting. When you take down enemies you can collect new gear to specialize your weapons and armor. With an entire country to explore, from deserts to oases, from the Mediterranean Sea to the tombs of Giza, players will fight against unsafe factions and wild beasts as they explore this land.

The publisher took the saying go big or go home to heart with the latest installment of the Assassin's Creed series, dubbed Origins.

After a two year absence, the next chapter in the Assassin's Creed franchise was officially released during Xbox's E3 showcase.
