Jason Dufner, David Lingmerth share Memorial lead

Daniel Summerhays seized a three-shot lead at the US PGA'S Memorial tournament Saturday as overnight leader Jason Dufner ballooned to five-over par 77 in the third round.

Five shots back to start the day, Summerhays made up that deficit in five holes, when his playing partner, the 36-hole leader Jason Dufner, imploded nearly immediately.

Dufner compounded his misery by driving into a water hazard at the last for a closing bogey, finishing the day tied for third at nine-under with compatriots Bubba Watson (68) and Justin Thomas (69). "But it's one of those things". Coming off a 78 - and his first round without a birdie in almost four years - Johnson couldn't get anything going and shot 74 to miss the cut by five shots.

Victorian youngster Brett Coletta, playing just his second US PGA Tour event, shot 72 to remain at three under (tied 27th) and is five shots ahead of countryman Cameron Smith (73) at two over.

His only blemish so far was a bogey on the par-four 18th in the first round, but the OH native claimed his revenge by sinking his second shot for eagle on that hole yesterday. Kuchar's round was bogey-free until the hard par-3 16th, but he was able to erase it on the 17th hole with a 155-yard approach to eight feet that led to a birdie.

Will Haven, managing editor of The Spectator in London, told Sky he "certainly saw people who looked like they'd been run over". There have also been unconfirmed reports from witnesses to Reuters , BBC News , CNN and The Telegraph of stabbings.

Lingmerth, victor of the Jack Nicklaus-hosted tournament in Dublin, Ohio, in 2015, hasn't posted a top-10 finish on the US PGA Tour this year. "I would have like to have hit a couple more fairways but hit my irons when I was in the fairways pretty good".

A bad day of breathing is short and quick.

Former World No 1 Jordan Spieth had three birdies and three bogeys in an even-par 72 that left him tied for fourth on 6-under 138.

The 33-year-old Leishman, who leads the Memorial field in driving accuracy, said his career-best form off the tee fills him with confidence before the US Open.

"I hate missing cuts", Johnson said.

Paul Pogba was among the goals for Manchester United , as they recorded a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in the final game of the season.

Wales' Jamie Donaldson shot his second straight 4-under 69 to take a two-stroke lead in the Nordea Masters at Malmo, Sweden.

Lowry shot 68 and Harrington carded 71 in round two at Muirfield Village to enter the weekend on four-under par, and two-under par respectively.

Taking the week off, Jutanugarn replaced Lydia Ko atop the ranking when So Yeon Ryu missed the cut.

Creamer and Kim each shot 4-under 67 to reach 9 under at Stockton Seaview near Atlantic City.

"I think the one thing that also helps is it gives me something to think about other than my stroke or holing this putt or the situation I'm in", Dufner said. Neither has won on the tour. Kim won the Reignwood LPGA Classic late a year ago in China for her fourth tour title.

Therefore, it is not surprising that by the early 20th century many states and localities had made such observances official. Several years later, disabled veterans were tasked with making artificial flowers as a Memorial Day tradition.

Moriya Jutanugarn and Lee each shot 70.
