North Korea calls US-South Korea plot a 'declaration of war'

North Korea held a military parade, rolled out a few missile mock-ups and tested a missile, which blew up nearly immediately after launch.

The agency has failed to specify where the center will be located, but the statement noted that a "veteran CIA operations officer" was selected to act as head of the center and as an Assistant Director for Korea.

No concrete evidence of the alleged plot has been provided by the North.

North Korea claims the primary suspect is a man it has identified only by the ubiquitous surname "Kim".

"According to our law, the Central Public Prosecutor's Office of the DPRK will use all available methods to start to work to demand the handover of the criminals involved, so as to punish the organizers, conspirators and followers of this bad state-sponsored terrorism", he said. The North also said "a guy surnamed Han" taught Kim how to enlist accomplices.

Afghanistan disputes portions of its almost 2,600-kilometer border with Pakistan, which is known as the Durand Line. Meanwhile, Afghan border soldiers also warned that they will stand against any move by Pakistan's military.

The report came only a day after North Korea announced that it had detained another USA citizen on charges of acting against its sovereignty. The Korea Mission Center is the agency's 11th mission center, along with others like the Mission Center for Counterterrorism and the Mission Center for Global Issues, drawing on resources from the CIA.
